Can I install Google Play Store on a Chinese ROM phone?
Yes. On almost every Chinese-ROM Xiaomi, Vivo, Honor, and OnePlus device you can install Google Services in 10–15 minutes. We send step-by-step instructions with every order, and if you get stuck we walk you through it on WhatsApp.
Will the phone work on my country's network?
In most cases yes — Chinese and Global ROMs both use the same hardware and support most international 4G/5G bands. Message us with your country and the model you're looking at and we'll confirm before you order.
Which one gets software updates first?
Chinese ROM typically gets new updates first (since the manufacturer's HQ is in China), but the updates are Chinese-region firmware. Global ROM updates arrive later but are optimised for international users.
Is the Chinese version really cheaper for the same phone?
Yes — usually 10–25% cheaper for the identical hardware, sometimes more on the newest flagships. The difference is purely in the software region and the manufacturer's pricing strategy for domestic vs international markets.
What's the warranty on imported phones?
Global versions come with an international manufacturer warranty (terms vary by brand). Chinese versions carry the manufacturer's China warranty, and Mobile Marvel provides its own warranty for imported units. Details are on each product page.
Does the Chinese ROM version support eSIM?
Sometimes, but not by default. Global ROM phones almost always support eSIM — you can run a physical SIM alongside an eSIM, and newer flagships often support dual eSIM. On Chinese ROM the standard is still dual physical SIM; eSIM is starting to appear on some newer flagships but it's not guaranteed and can be region-restricted. Can I use Quick Share or AirDrop-style sharing with a Chinese ROM phone?
Not with phones outside the Chinese-ROM ecosystem. Global ROM phones support Quick Share, which works with most Android phones, Chromebooks, and Windows PCs (and iPhones via third-party apps). Chinese ROM phones only share files quickly with other Chinese-ROM phones from the same brand — no cross-brand or cross-region Quick Share, and no AirDrop with iPhones. For anything else you'd send files over WhatsApp, Telegram, Google Drive, or a USB cable.
Do notifications work properly on a Chinese ROM phone?
Notifications work on both versions. On Global ROM they behave exactly like a normal international phone. On Chinese ROM they can arrive with a few minutes' delay by default — the fix is to enable background refresh (also called "battery optimisation exceptions" or "autostart") for each app you care about, like WhatsApp, Gmail, and your banking apps.
